The Person Behind The Practice
Hello! I'm Rachel, a trauma therapist, writer, and someone who cares deeply about the work I do.
Therapy, for me, is built on real connection. Of course, qualifications and experience matter (you can check out my LinkedIn here), but they’re only part of the picture. What also matters is how I show up: with honesty, presence, and a genuine respect for your story.

A Little More About Me
I’m a fully qualified therapist based in the UK, and I specialise in trauma - especially the kind that starts in childhood but weaves its way into adulthood in subtle but heavy ways. My approach is grounded, sometimes challenging, and always tailored to you. I draw from a range of models including person-centred, psychodynamic, somatic, and parts work because I don’t believe in a one-size-fits-all kind of healing. You’re layered, complex, and your therapy should reflect that.
But beyond theory, I’m someone who knows how it feels to carry deep pain and still keep going. I understand what it’s like to not feel safe, to hold wounds that don’t always have words, and to choose healing anyway. That lived experience shapes how I hold space - not as an expert on your life, but as someone who respects the courage it takes to show up.
Why I Do This Work
I didn’t land in this career by accident. This work feels like a calling, not just a job. I grew up in a world that revolved around people and community - watching them navigate everything life could throw at them, and feeling the full spectrum of emotion that came with it so it’s no wonder I found myself here.
My work is rooted in meaning, growth, and the hope that we can all return to our truest selves - the parts that have always been there, just hidden beneath the pain and the need to survive.
I care most about creating spaces that feel safe, steady, and unforced. Places where you don’t have to rush or perform. Where you can breathe, unravel, and start again.
Outside the Therapy Room
Outside of sessions, I’m a big fan of slow mornings, country music, and being near water. I find peace in nature, meaning in deep conversations, and joy in the little things. I’m always learning, unlearning, and doing the inner work too.
Lately, I’ve been pouring energy into a few creative projects - I’m writing a book and hosting a podcast, both of which reflect the same themes I care about in my work: healing, honesty, and working on a strong sense of self.
If You’re Thinking About Reaching Out
You don’t need to have everything figured out - you just need to feel ready enough to begin.
Whether you’re navigating anxiety, grief, trauma, relationship wounds, or just feeling a bit lost, I’ll meet you where you are. We’ll move at a pace that feels safe, with no pressure to be anything other than exactly as you are.
